Getting Pitch-Ready: Where Latina entrepreneurs step into their power

Let’s be real: launching and scaling a business in the U.S. is no easy feat, especially for first-generation Hispanic migrant women over 40.

They’re one of the most powerful yet under-resourced entrepreneurial forces in our community.

Limited access to funding, unfamiliarity with the U.S. business and funding ecosystem, language barriers, and a lack of a strong local network often hold them back from reaching their full potential.

That’s exactly why Getting Pitch-Ready exists.

This bilingual, co-generational program by Venprendedoras is designed to support Latina entrepreneurs who are ready to scale and heard.

We're bringing together 12 brilliant, age-diverse women with validated business models and giving them tools, structure, and strategy to take their growth to the next level.

Through personalized coaching, expert-led sessions, and a collaborative environment, participants refine their business models, sharpen their messaging, and build confidence in both Spanish and English.

They’re not just learning how to pitch.

They’re learning how to pitch with purpose and power.

We kicked things off at GROW Coffee and Cowork with a panel on defining your action plan and pitching with clarity, followed by a little networking to break the ice.

Then, over two intense days at the MDC IDEA Center, our entrepreneurs worked with world-class facilitators to turn big dreams into executable strategies.

They dug into their numbers, crafted financial stories investors understand, and practiced public speaking techniques to own the room.

One key aspect?

Co-generational mentorship. We pair younger and older women to collaborate, share insights, and create stronger, more resilient solutions together.

It's not just about age: it’s about perspective.

And as Program Director, I’m proud to walk alongside these women.

They’re resilient, bold, and laser-focused. They’re pitching not just for capital, but for their futures.

In a few weeks, they’ll present their strategies to a room full of decision-makers. Trust me... you’ll want to see what they’ve built!

A huge THANK YOU to the Getting Pitch-Ready team:
