Miami Tech Week Recap

It's the most wonderful time of the year!

I swear nothing makes me happier than networking in Miami. And although I was SUPER busy this year, I did make time to attend two key events during Miami Tech Week.

I kicked it off with Startup Grind's Startup Mania, which is a March Madness-style pitch competition inside a boxing ring, complete with walk-up songs, a title belt and a juicy $5K prize. Epic!

Founders brought the heat, the crowd was wild, and RajNATION hyped it like it was WrestleMania for startups. COBOLpro took home the prize with a killer pitch, but honestly, every single founder who stepped into that ring was a beast. Respect!

Then came eMerge Americas, and honestly… it never disappoints.

It’s one of those events where you’re talking to VCs one minute, demoing a new product the next, and somehow running into three people you forgot you needed to meet. Per usual, the Miami Beach Convention Center was packed.

But this year was extra special for me... my dad came along!

He's an electrical engineer, smart grid/telecom expert, and probably the reason I like bold ideas and wild bets in the first place.

Seeing eMerge through his eyes reminded me why I’m still in this game: people building things that matter, betting on the future, and not backing down.

And yeah, the panels and demos were solid. But let’s be real: the best part is always the networking. ⚡️

Not the “here’s my card” kind. The kind where you feel like you’re just hanging out with smart friends who are all building stuff and making moves.

Miami showed up hard!
