Alejandra Copeland Leads “Pitching Your Business” at the 2025 ALX Business Summit

Miami, FL — June 5, 2025We Are ALX hosted its annual ALX Business Summit at GBH, bringing together founders, executives, policymakers, and community leaders from across New England. This year’s theme" Building Generational Wealth" set the tone for a day focused not just on business growth, but on long-term economic impact for Latino communities.

Among the summit’s featured speakers was Alejandra Copeland, founder of Ok Yes Pitch & Go-to-Market Messaging, who delivered a keynote titled “Pitching Your Business.”

Pitching as Power, Not Performance

Copeland’s talk reframed pitching as more than a fundraising exercise. Her message was clear and unapologetic: pitching is about visibility, clarity, and owning your narrative in rooms where decisions are made.

In a room filled with founders, policymakers, and community leaders, that message landed. Copeland challenged attendees to stop treating the pitch as a one-off moment and start seeing it as a strategic asset—one that determines who gets heard, trusted, and backed.

“When you don’t control your story, someone else does,” she emphasized. “And that has real consequences for who builds wealth and who gets left out.”

A Summit That Meant Business—and More

The ALX Business Summit lived up to its reputation as the premier networking and career-advancement event for Latinos in New England. Throughout the day, speakers addressed the real economic stakes facing Latino-owned businesses and the role they play in regional growth.

Attendees heard from leaders including Maura Healey, Amy Kershaw, and Pavel Payano, each underscoring how policy, access, and representation intersect with entrepreneurship. The conversations were candid, practical, and rooted in action.

But beyond the stage, the real impact happened in the hallways.

From Networking to Alignment

Copeland arrived in Boston knowing only a handful of attendees. She left with something far more valuable: new allies, deep conversations, and shared intent.

This wasn’t transactional networking. It was alignment around purpose: builders connecting with builders, all invested in long-term outcomes.

“That’s the difference between collecting contacts and building community,” Copeland noted. “Real conversations lead to real impact.”

Leadership, Vision, and a Growing Movement

Special recognition goes to Eneida Román, President & CEO of We Are ALX, whose leadership shaped the summit into more than an event. Under her direction, the ALX team curated a space defined by clarity, inclusion, and forward momentum.

The result was unmistakable: this wasn’t just a conference; it was a call to action.

As Copeland reflects on the experience, one thing is certain: she’ll be back.

Because the ALX Business Summit isn’t just about showing up.

It’s about building something that lasts.

And that’s a movement worth committing to.
